We work with groups and individuals who want to get fit for their sport. That means we make you fitter, faster and stronger so you can excel at sport.

We work with some of the best athletes in the world from young athletes all the way to the pros. Our programmes build strong foundations in physical literacy, physical preparedness and injury prevention. All of our training methods are based on the latest sport science research but more importantly than that, they are tried and tested on our elite athletes so we know they get results!

How can we help?

Training

Providing accountability – APA appreciate that personal training is not entirely suited to everyone. Some clients want to be supported with a programme and be accountable to a coach but would rather do the training themselves. That’s why we have created a fitness testing service.

Athlete monitoringAPA are used to the pressure of delivering results in elite sport. To make sure your programme is working you will get fitness tested during the first session of every month. You will also be expected to complete a training diary. This way you are motivated to keep improving and do everything we ask you to do!

Building a complete athlete – APA recognise that training the same way all the time can become boring. All APA training methods are based on a holistic approach to getting fit. You will experience a variety of training methods including mobility work, power training, speed training, strength training and endurance.

Individualisation – everyone who aspires to be their athletic best will be on a different part of the journey. No two athletes are the same so rest assured that we will determine from the very beginning exactly where you need to start and programme a long term plan to get you where you want to be! This ensures your programme is unique to you!

Coaching: one to one – £45 per session

Fitness test: from £75 including report

Some of our clients simply want to know how fit they are.  They want to know how their fitness compares to professional athletes.  We offer three fitness test options:

Gold- £150

Silver- £100

Bronze- £75

These tests are included in the Fitness test packages but can be purchased on their own.  All fitness tests come with a report outlining your strengths and weaknesses.  Speed testing and Basic Fitness test are both £75 each.  We can incorporate multiple athletes with the basic fitness test (i.e. a football squad).  The speed testing price is for one person only.

Speed testing

Includes:

  • 0-10m acceleration
  • 10-0-5 change of direction
  • Biomechanical analysis with comprehensive data report
  • Objective data on an athlete’s movement patterns, technique, and performance metrics, which is essential to optimize performance and prevent injuries.
  • Technical analysis of your sprints includes information on three key components of speed: projection, switching and reactivity.

Basic Fitness test

Includes:

  • Body mass and Height
  • Basic Physical Competency Assessment (Overhead squat, Single leg squat, press up)
  • Basic fitness test including: 5m sprint, 20m sprint, Pro Agility test, Counter movement jump,
  • Squat jump, Overhead Medicine ball throw and Maximal Aerobic Speed test

Advanced Fitness Test

Includes:

  • Body mass and Height
  • Advanced Physical Competency Assessment (Overhead squat, Single leg squat, Lunge and return, Hop and stick, pull-up, press, up)
  • Advanced fitness test including: Grip strength, 5m sprint, 10m sprint, 20m sprint, Pro Agility test
  • Forehand Agility, Backhand Agility, Forwards-Backwards Agility, Counter movement jump
  • Squat jump, Overhead Medicine ball throw, Forehand throw, Backhand throw and
  • Maximal Aerobic Speed test
  • Gold package only: Power profile (Mean and Peak Power on Jump squat at 0, 20, 40, 60, 80
  • and 100% body mass)
  • Gold package only: Strength Profile (Predicted 1 Repetition Maximum on Back Squat)
  • Power profile and Strength profile require athlete competency in back squat and jump
  • squat.
